Here at Vermont Law School, we want to make sure students have access to all of the resources they will need to be successful and live comfortably while completing their degree with us. We also want to ensure students are not incurring more student loan debt than necessary.

Here is an example of our 'thrifty' budget that would allow a student to live comfortably in South Royalton, VT, so long as they are resourceful and avoid unnecessary spending:
Thrifty Budget Monthly Annual
(9 months)
(12 months)
Health Insurance---
Total Living Expenses $1,750 $17,330 $22,500

While students are allowed to borrow between $21,000 and $28,000 towards cost of living expenses annually, our students borrow an average of just $19,000 towards cost of living expenses each year*. Our full student expense budget for 2016/2017 can be found here.
